Removing an active user and their accepted invitation

Administrators who need to remove an active internal user and their accepted invitation.
Administrator permissions are required.
This article explains how to remove an active internal user and their accepted invitation.
1. Navigate to the users section

Navigate to the users section by selecting Settings and then Users.
Note: You will only see the Settings button if you have the correct role access. Contact your site administrator if you do not have access to complete this task.
2. Locate the active user
- Locate the active internal user in the Users tab.
- The Users tab contains both internal users and supplier portal users.
- You can use the search field or navigation arrows to move through the list.
- Once you have located the correct user, select the user’s name. The name appears in blue text to indicate it is a link.
3. Remove the active user

Select the Remove user button at the bottom of the user page.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the removal.
- Select Yes to remove the user.
- Once removed, the user will no longer be able to log in to your site.
4. Locate the internal user invitation
- Navigate to the Invitations tab and locate the internal user invitation.
- The Invitations tab contains both internal user invitations and supplier portal user invitations.
- You can use the search field or navigation arrows to move through the list.

Once you have located the correct invitation, select the invitation name. The name appears in blue text to indicate it is a link.
5. Remove the internal user invitation
- Select the Remove invitation button at the bottom of the invitation page.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the removal.
- Select Yes to remove the internal user invitation.
6. Accidentally removed a user?
If you have accidentally removed a user, do not invite the user again using the same email address.
- You can recover the user from the Deleted Records Archive.
- If the user cannot be found in the Deleted Records Archive, submit a ticket to the Support Team via the Help button requesting recovery.
7. Next steps
Now that you have removed the internal user and their invitation, you may wish to:
- Archive the employee that was contact associated with the internal user.
Important: If an email address or 24-hour contact number has been added to an employee, and alerts have been configured to use email or SMS, the system will automatically use these contact details. This means the employee may still receive alerts even if the internal user has been removed.
If you no longer want the employee to receive alerts, ensure you either:
- Move the email address and 24-hour contact details into the Notes field on the employee page, or
- Archive the employee.
