Users accessing Ideagen Safe Food for the first time.

Site invitation is required.

To become a user of Ideagen Safe Food, you will need an Administrator of your site to send you an invite. Once invited, you will receive an email with a link to accept your invitation and create a password for signing in to the system.

This article details the steps required to complete the process.

1. Accepting an invite

1.2. First site

To accept a site invite:

1. Access your email.
2. Find the invitation email.
3. Click Accept Invitation.

If you don't receive the email, please check your SPAM/Junk or other custom folders. If it's still missing, contact your IT department to check for email filters and ask them to whitelist 'ideagen.com' to ensure future emails reach your inbox.

This will take you to a new page where you can complete accepting the site invitation by creating your account.

1.3. Additional sites

After accessing your first Ideagen Safe Food site, you may receive invitations to others. You can use your existing account details for all sites, so the invitation page will look simpler than the one for your first site.

To join an additional site, simply follow the email link, accept the invitation, and sign in as usual.

2. Creating an account

To create your account:

1. Enter a password.
   Your password must be a minimum of 10 characters long with at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one number and one special character.
2. Confirm the password.
3. Read through our Terms and Conditions.
4. Tick I accept the Terms and Conditions.

5. Click Accept Invitation.

This will bring you to the sign in screen for the site you've been invited to.

3. Signing in to a site

To sign in to a site:

1. Enter your Email Address.
2. Click Continue.

3. Enter your Password.
4. Click Sign in.

You will either enter the system directly or be prompted to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This adds an extra sign in step, requiring a 6-digit code sent by email, phone, or app each time you sign in.

If you enter your details incorrectly three times, you’ll be temporarily locked out. If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it and try signing in again.

After accepting the invitation, you will be taken to the main dashboard page.

4. Accepting site terms

If the site has Terms and Conditions, a pop-up will appear for you to read and accept or reject them.

If you reject the Terms and Conditions, you will be signed out. To access the Ideagen Safe Food site, sign in again and accept the Terms and Conditions.
