Completing a read and understood Action
Who is this article for?
Supplier Portal Users required to complete an assigned Read and Understood action for a document.
Access to the Documents module is required.
In some cases, your customer might ask you to complete a read and understood action.
This article outlines how to complete these.
1. Access the document
You can access the document assigned to you through the Read and Understood workflow in several ways.
Via the email notification.
- You will receive an email informing you of your Read and Understood task.
- Click the View record button to open the document.
Via the My Actions tab.
- You will see an action on your My Actions tab.
- Click the document name in blue text to open the document.
2. Open the Read and Understood action
- Click the Read document or Awaiting Read and Understand button.
- These buttons allow you to preview the document and begin the acknowledgment process.
- If you appear both as an individual user and as part of a user group, you may see multiple buttons, but you only need to complete the action once.
3. Complete the acknowledgment
Tick the acknowledgment box.
- A pop‑up window will appear showing the document preview.
- Tick the I have read and understood this document checkbox.
- Click the Submit button.
- The Submit button appears once the acknowledgment box is ticked.
- Click Submit to complete your action.
4. Confirmation
Once your action is complete, the word Completed will appear beside your name along with the completion date. You will no longer see the Read Document or Awaiting Read and Understand buttons.
